Meet Your Doula
Here to support your unique journey with care, understanding, and knowledge.
Being a Birth Doula is not just my passion, it's my calling! As a certified Birth Doula, I offer emotional, physical, and informational support so you can feel confident and cared for every step of the way.
I offer support tailored to your unique needs - whether you are planning a home birth, birthing center birth, or hospital birth. I work to educate and nurture you and your family as you welcome new life. I believe that every woman and her family deserves to feel heard, while receiving compassionate, nonjudgmental support. This support provides the confidence needed to make informed choices about your care.
While providing support, my goal is to help you embrace your own strength and welcome your baby in a way that feels right for you.

What Families Often Ask
Here are some of the questions I’m most often asked about my doula services. If you can’t find your answer here, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help.
A doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth — but does not perform medical tasks. A midwife is a trained healthcare provider who manages the clinical aspects of pregnancy and birth. Many families choose to have both.
The earlier, the better! Most families reach out during the second trimester, but I can also provide services late in pregnancy.
I support families while birthing in hospitals, birth centers, and at home. My role is to make sure you feel comfortable and empowered in any setting.
Absolutely. I work alongside your partner to help them feel confident, supported, and included in the birth experience. My presence frees them to focus on you without the pressure of remembering every detail.
I have a few trusted backup doulas in the area who would be notified if I’m unexpectedly unable to attend your birth.
I understand that doula care is an important investment, and I’m happy to discuss flexible payment options. Payment is not expected all at once. Many HSAs offered by employers will also reimburse for doula services.
I can also accept some Medicaid insurance plans.

Kind Words from Families
" I really enjoyed having Sheila as my doula. She made me feel very comfortable and she was so helpful. It was nice to have an extra set of helping hands, not only for me but for my boyfriend as well. She made sure we didn't need for anything. My only complaint is that I didn't have her for my other two children. 10/10 would recommend her for others. "

" Sheila was a wonderful doula! She has a great demeanor, very calm, and explains things accurately and thoroughly. She took her time with us to explain various aspects of the birthing process and covered many topics that we didn't even think to ask. She wanted to make sure we were 100% comfortable and informed. She always attended every appointment on time and arrived at the hospital well before delivery which was perfect. At the hospital, she helped support my birth plan and wishes by explaining what's currently happening, what to expect, any options and alternatives, suggesting different laboring positions, etc. We couldn't have been happier and definitely recommend her.

" Sheila was my angel during pregnancy. We hired her probably during week 8 because having a doula was a priority for us. I had a very difficult pregnancy and was in triage at least 8 times. She was on call and available to talk every single one to guide me and reassure me. We ended up having a C-Section due to breech positioning but she walked us though every step, and was there to support us afterwards. She was a support for my husband who needed just as much reassurance. We can't thank her enough!! She's a rockstar! "
